Trpanj
is a village with about 600 inhabitants. It is famous for its preserved
nature, gravel beaches and clean sea. It is a place where anyone can
find something to make their holidays unforgettable. Those who seek
peace will find it in Trpanj's nature, beautiful eaches, hidden bays,
and walking areas along the sea. Those who wish for a more active
holiday can enjoy numerous sports activities, rich gastronomical offer,
music and nightlife. The bay of Blace is known, but so is Trpanj's
medicinal mud, which helps persons with rheumatic problems but it also
useful in health preservation. The inhabitants of Trpanj deal in
viticulture, fishery and tourism, naturally. The hill of Gradina is
above Trpanj, and once it was a fortress, parts of which can still be
seen today. Many town churches can be seen like the church of Sv. Petar
and Sv. Pavao, Gospa od Milosrđa, Sv. Nikola (protector of seamen),
church of Gospa od Karmela, and the church of Sv. Roko from which
spreads a beautiful view over Trpanj and channel of Neretva.
